Christmas Day

The reason I say Christmas DAY and not Christmas morning is because our Christmas lasted ALL DAY... well even to the next day. Ryenne was so excited with each gift that she just didn't want to open anything afterward. She wanted to play. It was very cute and made for a very long lasting Christmas.

Ryenne got lots of toys and clothes and Kai got a few clothes and a bouncer toy. Ry is loving her bathtub fishing pole, her train set, and her tool box a lot. Kai doesn't really have a favorite... just lots of drool! hehehe

Ry woke up and went for her stocking. You can tell she pulled a chocolate out and ate it right away. She was really happy but she's going through a phase where she doesn't want to smile at the camera...

CHOCOLATE!!! WooHoo!!!

Our Christmas Tree all decorated...

A couple of Peter's co-workers didn't have anyone to spend Christmas with, so we invited them over. We had our traditional Bacon & Cheese Egg Custard breakfast, which came out sooooo tasty! And we all enjoyed listening to music and laughing about being in the hotel business and the crazy stories that go along with it. Cody and Kevin, it was great having you guys over for our first Texas Christmas!

Christmas Eve Dancing

Christmas Eve

I told Ryenne we were going to bake cookies for Santa, but I totally don't have the energy to do it from scratch! But this cookie dough from the store near our house is freakin awesome! They're made with whole wheat flour and no yucky stuff - only stuff like how you would do it at home. They were soooo tasty.

Ry really enjoyed putting the dough on the pan. They were all catty-wompas so I had to reorganize them before they went in the oven.

After they were done, we put them on Santa's special cookie plate with some eggnog and I had Ry draw a picture for Santa. She wanted me to trace her hand and then she drew over it. I asked her what she wanted to write and then I wrote it down exactly as she said it, "Dear Santa, Happy Birthday Santa. Happy Reindeers and Happy Holidays! Cookies. mmmmm. Love you, Ryenne" Is that not cute or what?

Pops got to hold and snuggle Kai boy while me and Ryenne did the cookies. =)

Kai's Expressions

Just a little fun with the small camera - high ISO cause I didn't want to use the flash. These were from just before Christmas...

Mama's Boy

This little boy loves being with his mommy! He's not feeling great today. We all have a little cold. But he's handling it really nicely as long as he's attached to me!

Big Moon

Unfortunately I didn't grab a picture of the moon last night - when it was the biggest of the year - but I did tonight! Here's the moon - taken from our driveway. Isn't it amazing?

Twins...

Our Attempt at Family Pictures

We really, really tried to get a great family picture that we could frame.... I should have brought along the big camera. The small camera had a dirty lens (thanks to Ry touching it) and the lighting just wasn't right. My favorite one is the sepia-ish one =)

Our (little bit of) SNOW!!!

So it's pretty pathetic that we got all excited about our "snow". It was f-f-f-reezing and pretty cool to wake up to a little bit of snow. Ryenne was so excited! She remembered the snow from Oregon earlier this year and said she wanted to make a snowman. I had to convince her that we didn't have enough!

Christmas Festivities Last Weekend

How could I forget to post the pictures from last weekend??? We had TWO Christmas festivities! First, we had pancakes and sausage with Santa at Ry's church pre-school. Then, we had the keiki Christmas party at the Four Seasons!

As Promised

My gorgeous little boy has found his thumb!!!

Kai has discovered his thumb!

The other day Kai found his thumb and stuck it in his mouth. This was followed by 45 minutes of complete silence as he enjoyed it! Since then, he's been trying to re-find it! It's been really funny watching him hit himself, try each finger, and then sad when he doesn't find it. He gets so frustrated!!! He found it again today and put himself to sleep. When I can, I'll get a picture next time he does it!

! SNOW !

Brrrrrrrr.... it got COLD last night! Peter called from work around 11pm and said it had started to snow! In the morning, we had some snow on the roof and some on the fence. But it was pretty  manini... nothing we could play in. But still cool none the less! I took a couple pics with the little camera and will post those later.

Today Peter hung Christmas lights on the house. This is the first time we've EVER had Christmas lights up! Too much fun.... so excited!

Fall in Zilker Park

Pops gets to have some fun too!

Okay had to do it... the shoe shot!!

Pops has stroller duty so we can play on the swings!!

Ryenne loves the "big girl swings" with her daddy...

Mommy's little girl...
