I've Painted

I've accomplished painting two walls in the house! YAHOO!!!!

In the living room I did the wall under the stairs my beloved Martha Stewart Mercury Glass color. I think it looks great. But the wall behind it (the really tall one) I think we'll eventually do in a darker color. Eeeew hate the carpet...

I also did the office window wall a saffron color. It's TOTALLY not a color I would normally pick but the desks are a honey color and I wanted something a bit different out of my norm. I think it looks GREAT! And it will look even better when the desks are set up.

MEAT!!!!

Everyone told us to go check out Rudy's BBQ so we did since Peter had the day off! He was a happy camper having lots of MEAT!!! Ry loved the brisket and ribs and creamed corn. We got extra sausage to take home and so Peter and Ry had rice, eggs, and sausage for breakfast. I didn't feel like that much meat so I just had a few bites. But the banana pudding was yummy! It was a great treat. Definitely not something I can eat a lot of the time though. Maybe once a month or something!!! It was good fun!

Some Pictures

I got a really nice baby swing off of Craigslist last week. I set it up and Ryenne tested it out for me. She approves!!

Ready for a swim in the neighborhood pool!

There's a grocery store near our house called Randall's. It's basically Safeway... anyway, they have these carts that have a TV inside and so Ry got to watch cartoons and drive the car while I was shopping. I felt like such a country bumpkin not ever seeing one of these before!!

Holy Moly I found Manapua in Texas!!!! Me and Ry had manapua and fruit for lunch the other day. I swear the fruit is like a spiritual experience!! LOL

Loving the Corn Dog!

Who doesn't love a good 'ol corn dog?? Mmmmmm!!!

It was a nice evening so we went outside and did a little bit of gardening. YES, gardening, ME!! I hope I don't kill everything. hahaha

So Ry had her corny dog and we watered the grass and planted a few flowers. The furniture comes on Monday! YAHOO!!! So once we get it all in the house and boxes and rubbish cleared I'll take some pictures of the house.

More of the Cute-A-Potamus

Love my baby girl!!!

(and that's Peter rockin' his slippers!)

Yes we have rice!

Ladybird Lake

We took Peter for his interview at the Four Seasons and it took longer than expected. So I took Ry to the nearby Ladybird Lake and we cruised around the park area. It was beautiful!

In Austin

By this time we were up in Austin already. You can see her favorite hiding spot in our kitchen in the previous post.

This cool playground is about 5 minutes from our house! It's HUGE and Ry has a great time!

Random Shots...

Love the sleeping one where the laundry basket is supporting her butt!!! hahahahaha

The Riverwalk

We walked the San Antonio Riverwalk very briefly. It's definitely a tourist area and kinda reminded me of Front Street in Lahaina (sans the ocean of course!). It was a beautiful walk though! I think I would have liked it more in the evening when it cooled down a little bit ;)

San Antonio Zoo

We took Ryenne to the zoo even though she wasn't feeling that great. It was a really hot day, but we didn't want her to be in the cramped hotel room all day because I think it was the dirty AC that was making her sick.

Anyway, the zoo is HUGE so we didn't do the whole thing. Probably about a quarter of it! We spent a good 40 minutes in the butterfly exhibit. Ryenne adored the butterflies and so did we!! Then we left the zoo and went on the train ride right outside the zoo grounds. We got to go through a tunnel and Ry still talks about it weeks later!

San Antonio!!

Ry's favorite... spaghetti!!!

And we took her to her very first movie!! We all saw Wall-E in the theater and she LOVED it. We'll for sure be buying that DVD. She talks about Wall-E almost everyday!
