A few more from Reno

A few of the remaining shots from the little camera on our recent trip out to Reno.

Mom and Pop took us out to a horse farm where wild horses are caught and then fed and taken care of. Ry LOVES horses and she loved it. I love the one of her trying to lure a horse to the carrot, but the best one is of all the horse butts! hahahaha

Random Pics

Here's some recent pics off the small camera. Just a bunch of Ry being her super cute self!!!

Oooohhh... on a side note... we put the cable onto Christmas music today and it was playing "Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!" and she kept pointing to her nose. Took me a second to realize she thought it was "Let it nose!". Too cute!

Turkey Day Success!

We actually celebrated Thanksgiving on the actual Thanksgiving this year! For the first time in a long time, Peter got the holiday off. I spent the day cooking a lot! I made everything for the main meal myself. The only cheat I had was powdered potatoes. Haha ... but I was so proud of myself for cooking. And it came out yummy too!

We had us, Koa, Shayna, Nico, and John over. We all ate. Nico got really tired so him and John went home. Then we decorated our beautiful Christmas tree! You'll notice that the picture is only of the top half. I didn't buy enough lights for the bottom. HAHAHAHA

When she says, "Mama"

It's amazing how smart little kids are. Ryenne is so intuitive... so smart... so understanding. Everyday she's doing new things.

For a while now she's pointed to herself and says "Ry Ry", but today she saw herself in the mirror, stared for a little while, and said "Ryenne". I was so proud of her! She also knows how to give kisses and hugs, but she usually will just give a hug and avoid the kiss altogether.

Today was different though. She had a cold today and I was snuggling with her and taking care of her all day. Today she handed out the kisses and in the sweetest voice said, "Mama" throughout the day. To hear her say that in such a caring, understanding fashion just made my day. No, my year. No... probably my life!

As Thanksgiving approaches, I realize everyday what I'm most thankful for. And she's definitely at the top of the list!

Yes I'm slacking!

I'm slacking with my posts! I have more pictures from our trip to post but haven't downloaded them off my camera. When I came home I had photo shoots for a few days in a row and have fallen into the routine of daily cleaning and all that junk. I've got some great pictures to post, so if Ry is a good girl tomorrow and quits trying to climb my leg then I can post them! =)

Ryenne turned 17 months old on the 5th and she's going through a major daredevil stage. She has been climbing EVERYTHING and not listening to me. Today I scolded her for jumping on the couch (she fell the other day and hit her head HARD) and she laughed in my face. Ok.... so I think the testing stage is happening NOW!! I can handle it... I know I can!

She is starting to do some new cute things. She picks up the phone and says, "Herro" which is freaking adorable!! She points to herself and says "Ry Ry" and loves looking at pictures and pointing herself out. She's started talking about pee pee which is great cause I hope she's an early potty trainer. Today she told me she pee peed in her diaper - progress! Truly... these are things only the parent of a toddler can appreciate. Sorry to the rest of you who are reading this!

I've been really proud of myself picking up my walking routine. I've been doing 2 - 3 miles daily! Yay!!!
