She's Eating!

Ry has been staring at us while we eat so I asked the doc about starting her on Rice cereal. I actually started before the doc apt, but a very soupy mixture. Anyway, she LOVES it and eats so well from the spoon! She gets so happy when I bring her little bowl and spoon out.

Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On

We had a wild morning yesterday! We had a 6.6 earthquake at 7:08am. That was the first time Peter has experienced anything like that. I wasn't really concerned about the quake itself, but more so, if a tsunami would be following. So after the shaking stopped, we grabbed the dogs, and me, Peter, Ry and the pups headed for higher ground.

The electricity was down, and all the radio stations were down so it was very scary to not know what was going on.

When we got the all clear that no wave was coming, we came home. Boy what an interesting day!!!

She Did It!!!

She was actually a good, happy baby when Grandpa Eugene watched her last night! Usually she screams and cries the entire time I'm gone and won't take a bottle. But a friend of mine said to switch to a size 2 nipple and try the bottle made by Avent. Well it worked cause he said she drank all 5 oz of milk and even the 3oz of formula I left for just in case. Usually she'll drink only an oz out of the bottle and just get mad.

So hopefully we've now found the trick and she'll be easier for the grandparents to watch. Yay!

Happy 4 Month Birthday Ryenne!

These were taken on the 5th - her 4 month birthday! She was such a good girl and gave me beautiful smiles!

Today we went swimming over at Martin and Debbies house and had dinner and hung out. Ryenne just loves being in their pool. So cute.

Movin On Up!

Ryenne is movin on up... in diaper size that is! Hard to believe my little Ryenne Pepper now fits into size 3 diapers!!! I can't wait to find out what she weighs on the 12th.

She's turning 4 months old on Thursday. Gosh time sure flies!

We had an amazing moment yesterday - I was singing her Twinkle Twinkle and she started singing with me. It was so awesome. I just hugged her so tight. I'm still amazed that she's finally here with us and so thankful. Being a mom to her is definitely my greatest accomplishment in life for sure. I'm in awe of her all the time - sometimes she just takes my breath away - as corny as that sounds.

I took her to the beach the other day and she went swimming in the ocean for the first time. She loved it! It was a beautiful calm late afternoon, and she also liked putting her hands in the sand.

She's starting to realize more and more what her hands can do. She can pet Chico and Dexter, and she takes major interest in them when they're sitting next to us on the couch. She even grabbed Chico's tail!

I'm so excited to bring her to the mainland next month. Take pictures in the snow, have her meet her Great Grandparents.... it'll be so much fun! Can't wait!

My Daddy's Car is Faster than Your Daddy's Car!

Ryenne and I went to the Maui SCCA meet with Peter on Sunday so we could watch him race his car (against the clock). Whoa was it fun!! She liked all the action and was a very good girl! Peter got to race 5 times, he got faster each time. It was a lot of fun cheering him on. Plus he looked pretty darn cute in that racing helmet and Mickey Mouse T-Shirt.

Happy Birthday Pop!!

Today is my dad's birthday and a very special day. It was one year ago that my little Ryenne Pepper was 'implanted'. I think my dad was my good luck charm because it was his birthday and he was with me since Peter had to work. We had a great time just hanging out. LOVE YOU DAD!

Got some really cute pictures of Ry today, but she's been very clingy and I need to prepare my presentation for my clients coming over tomorrow. I'll post 'em tomorrow.

What the heck is up with movie previews??

Today I was watching tv and this preview for the movie "The Grudge 2" came on. Holy heck it scared the sh*t out of me! And I'm a grown up person!

I just don't think it's right that movie previews can be so scary and be televised during the day when small kids can see it. Comedies, romance, sure... show it in the daytime. But something that is frightening shouldn't be shown when kids can see it. I'm not saying don't advertise the movie, just please keep the scary clips away!! If I wanted to see scary stuff I would go to the moview - BUT I DON'T! So please just don't show it!!

Ok... now off to bed. Hopefully I don't have bad dreams cause that thing looks SCARY!

Holy Macro Lens Batman!

I had been wanting a macro lens for a while to get detailed ring shots at weddings. So we bought one and Peter was tinkering around with it while I was feeding Ryenne.

Ok... I don't mean to brag or anything, but don't I have the most beautiful engagement ring ever??

We had QUITE a day today. Me and Patrick (my brother in law for all you who haven't met him) took Ryenne and Landon to town today. Poor Landon had to have his shots and Pat didn't want to go alone. Lets just say the two of them had a yelling, crying, and screaming contest on the way. Those two got some lungs on them!

Didn't take any Ryenne pics today. But will soon in the beautiful dress that my mom made for Ryenne. Of course I had her in it and was gonna take a picture, but she puked all over it.
