Today we started our day after not much sleep thanks to the munchkin. We drove up to Austin to take a tour and meet the midwives at Austin Area Birthing Center. I just LOVE the place. I have my first pre-natal appointment on Tuesday. I am so excited to have this option!
Then we drove to our house and I got to meet Jason, the former owner and he was really nice. I asked how he keeps the lawn so nice and he told me his routine which I think will be really helpful since I have such a black thumb.
Then it was off to FedEx to pick up my camera which had to go in for repairs a couple weeks ago. Now it's nice and safe in my hands again. =)
Peter started feeling sick so instead of going to see Wall-E we came back to the hotel in San Antonio and are vegging out. We're all tired. Ryenne hasn't slept well since we got here and we're all extremely tired!!
Hopefully Peter will be feeling better tomorrow and we can go see Wall-E. I think we're doing the zoo on Sunday. Monday is down to business with getting my medical records from Kaiser in Hawaii and the electricity/gas/water switched to our name at our house. We'll be buying an air bed to sleep on until our stuff gets to Austin. Island Movers said everything should arrive by the end of July - so we've got about a month "camping" in our house.
Peter goes back to work on Tuesday and I hope we can buy another car before he goes back so that we both have something to drive. I'm loving my Scion XB. Peter might get one of those too or a VW Rabbit. Standard of course!!!

Rockin' San Antonio!
We're here!!! I can't tell you how happy I am to be reunited with Peter. I missed him SO MUCH throughout this whole move.
We arrived very late last night and spent a nice lazy day today. Just what I needed. May take a few days to acclimate to the five hour time difference. Ry's sleeping patterns are completely whacked out.
I'll start taking pictures to post tomorrow when we go to Austin! More later...

My Child Doesn't Sleep (Venting!)
I was always under the impression that little kids/babies like to sleep. I have been more than surprised for the past two years!!
While I was pregnant with Ryenne I enjoyed 9-10 hours of sleep. This was quickly followed by shock and surprise when she was born that she only slept a maximum of 3-5 hours nightly followed by sporadic naps. While everyone else's babies were sleeping most of the day, I walked as a zombie, and have been for the past two years.
This time around I am hoping and praying that P-2 is a mellow, sleepy baby. Since Peter has left I haven't slept more than 5 hours each night. The nightly ritual of trying to get Ry to sleep starts at 10pm and finishes usually around 12 - 12:30am. By this time the moment my head hits the pillow I'm about to crash and then I hear an annoying scratch on the door or thumping as Chico wants out or some other thing that I really could give a crap about.
So the moment I do fall into a nice, relaxful sleep Ry wakes me either talking in her sleep or waking up with a nightmare or needing milk. Then the annoying night peeing needs to take place as P-2 likes to wake and kick the crap out of my bladder.
Then back to a nice, peaceful sleep for a few hours and then the day starts with Ry waking me up "Mama, couch. Wake up. I want couch." She is obsessed with starting the day sitting on the couch watching cartoons. I realize this is now my fault as I used the tv to babysit her while I packed the house.
So out of bed I roll feeling like I had just hit the pillow the previous night. Ry has been so active that it's just non-stop from the moment she wakes up. Her naps have been 20 minutes tops once per day. I don't know how she manages to stay so active from 6am to almost 1am in the morning each and every day!
I told Peter that when we get to Texas I'm handing her off to him so I can have a day of full sleep. I just need it so bad.
It's hard to get help from anyone because Ry is being super clingy to me. She wants to be carried everywhere and doesn't want to be left with anyone. I had a wedding last night and she cried the entire 5 hours I was gone. I just don't know what I'm going to do when P-2 gets here. I told Ry that Mommy is going to need to carry the new baby and she's going to need to walk or ride in the stroller. I think we'll be dealing with some regression issues when P-2 gets here.
At least we'll be back together with Peter again and I can get a little help. I seriously don't know how single parents do it with a child and no help.
I love my sweet girl to pieces. Can't imagine my life without her in it. She brightens my day... I'm just a tired mama!

A Feeling of Accomplishment
Well.... it's practically over! Me and Ry woke up at about 6am (this was really NOT what I wanted haha) and I fed her and we started getting ready for the movers to come. Packed up last minute office stuff, checked the emails, got all the info I need in my little notebook and all that good stuff.
The movers showed up right on time at 10am and went to work packing up all the furniture, crating everything, and taking the boxes that I had already packed. They did a wonderful job packing all the furniture - making sure that everything was wrapped up tightly in paper and putting things into the crates. It was an 8 hour job!
About half way through Ry started getting restless and it was a challenge for me to entertain her, guide the movers, pack myself, ect. I feel like this whole thing of moving to another state, packing up the whole house myself, being pregnant, and doing all of this with a two year old is just a huge accomplishment. I feel like if I could get through this, I can really get through anything!
The house is empty - I'm going back in the morning with Ryenne to clean and get all the leftover rubbish out. Then it's back to the West Side where I have an evening photo shoot. It's going to be another busy day!!

The Home Stretch
Today was a major packing day and everything is just about done. Tomorrow I'll be throwing out lots of rubbish and just finalizing some of the minor last minute packing stuff. Then the movers come on Monday and that will be a HUGE load off for me.
Ryenne was a really good girl today and let me get tons of work done (although she didnt' sleep much last night!). All the furniture has been emptied of it's contents and all the closets are clean and empty. It will be trippy to see all the furniture taken out on Monday and the house will be an empty shell ready for the next family!
The countdown begins for us heading to Texas... just about 10 more days until we're together with Peter and Dexter again! I can't wait!!!!

Nakey Baby
I've been so busy with editing photo shoots and packing that I've been relying a little too much on the tv as a babysitter. So I decided before my photo shoot on Tuesday to take Ry to the beach! We went to Napili Bay for about an hour or so and played in the tide pools and found lots of shells and cool creatures. It was just what we needed to spend good quality time together.

Eating & Trucks Texas Style!
On the Superferry to Honolulu
We took Peter's car to Honolulu on the Superferry. What a trip! They were very organized getting everyone on and off with the cars. The boat was actually really, really nice and it was packed!
Nick came with me and I'm so glad that he did. He was such a HUGE help!
We got on the boat and the lounge was nice but there was only a view out the side. Nick decided to go walking around and came back and said "I found the spot!" So we went to the front of the boat which is like the First Class area and it has a panoramic view out the front. So we paid the extra $20 per person to stay there. It was neat that we did because one of my friends was up there with her little girl Paige who Ryenne loves to play with.
After about 10 minutes Ryenne said "Mommy, tummy hurts" and I knew she was feeling sick. She had diarrhea and threw up the night before so I was bummed that she wasn't feeling good. My friend Irene had some baby Dramamine so I gave that to Ry and she snuggled on Nick for a while before the Dramamine kicked in. Once it did, she and Paige were like crazy little girls running all around.
The ride was 3 hours and the ocean was very calm. I didn't get sick - amazingly! Just before we got to Honolulu the meds wore off and Ryenne got sick and threw up all over me. I had prepared by bringing her three extra pairs of clothes but I hadn't thought of myself.
So we de-boarded with a smell of vomit. LOL.
It was a quick drive to Ala Moana where we waisted a couple hours eating at Macaroni Grill and checking out a couple stores. I bought two stickers of the Hawaiian Island Chain to put on our cars when we're in Texas (gotta represent!).
Ryenne threw up again at Macaroni Grill and then she was starving and ate a bunch of Nick's spaghetti. Luckily she held that down.
We sold Peter's car to a really nice guy who promised to take care of it. Then we flew home on Hawaiian Air. It was our first time flying First Class! YAY for Hawaiian Miles points. =)
