37 Weeks, School, Cooking...

This morning we woke up early and took Ryenne to her school. It was kinda a "warm up day" for her and us. We dropped her with her teachers, Ms. Tracy and Ms. Darlene, and snuck out while she was playing with toys. We had our orientation with what we're supposed to bring and what the child development center entails, ect. I think this is going to be such an awesome place for her. They actually have a wonderful philosophy and ask the parents not to send kids in nice clothes because getting dirty is part of the fun! LOVE IT!

So after our parent orientation we went down to Ry's class and she was playing. She was happy to see us and her teachers said she did really well (YES!!!). It was a great start to the day!!

I'll bring along the camera for her first school day and post those pictures on Thursday. =)

So after that we headed up North to where the birth center is. We had a nice breakfast/lunch at Original Pancake House and then headed to the birth center for my pre-natal appointment. Everything is looking fine and on track. P-2 is not ready to come out yet though. I'm ready whenever he/she is! Heartbeat was great and I'm measuring right on target. Next appointment is in one week.

Peter and I are becoming great at cooking. I guess necessity makes it that way... when one craves a plate lunch, one must MAKE a plate lunch! Last week we made spam musubi's...the week before that was chicken adobo... today we made Ahi Poke (for Peter) and Shoyu Chicken. The cool thing is, at home on Maui it was more expensive to buy the ingredients than to just go buy a plate lunch. Here, buying the ingredients and cooking ourselves is pretty cheap! So aside from my regular repertoire of dinners to cook, I'm learning how to make all of our favorite specialties from back home which is pretty cool!

The chicken actually got done kinda late, so we're having it for breakfast tomorrow and I'll post pictures =)

We had a really great couple of family days. Peter goes back to work tomorrow afternoon.
